You have something for me? That isn't necessary, but I appreciate the sentiment. But if it's a visit then I am currently residing in the Gregory Household. It's located at [insert address here].

[Yuya prepares by dressing in the sweater Mabel had made him, before placing the odd item for Sandalphon in a bag and heading out.
It's a bit of a walk until he reaches the house, but he manages... it just so happens that he's just learned about the goblins weakness to light. And by the time he gets to and knocks on the door, he looks... Utterly exhausted]
Um, h-hello? Sandalphon?
no subject
He had finished up yet another test batch of coffee for his upcoming café when Yuya knocked on the door. When he was greeted by the sight of an exhausted goblin, he let out a sigh. It can't be helped, it seems. ]
Yuya, come on in. [ He ushers the boy inside. ] Let me get you some water. You look exhausted.
no subject
Sorry I... guess it's a monster thing-
[He'd worry about that later, he was quick to take Sandalphon up on his offer of not only water, but shelter. But he does manage to place a small bag on the table before he sits to take a breather.]
no subject
He's quick to get Yuya some water as he took his seat, soon seeing the bag on the counter. He huffs, knowing what that meant. It seems that was the gift Yuya was hinting at. Somehow, he finds himself not fighting the small smile that was on his face. ]
Are you feeling better now?
no subject
Y-yeah, thanks!
[He sounds more upbeat than he has in the past. But after saying thanks, he quickly opens the little bag.]
Um- s-so it was a little hard to make with... [He gestures to his own oversized claws.] B-but I tried my best!
[He pulls out something that looks akin to a charm, or something you could hang up somewhere. But it seems to be a very simple representation of Sandalphon, with a pair of angel wings on the figure.]
I remember you said you had wings, so I... I hope that's okay-
no subject
He pays attention to what Yuya said about the gift, letting out a soft chuckle. ] Honestly, doing anything with your hands is more impressive than anything.
[ And then he laid eyes on the small charm. All sorts of emotions welled up in his chest. While it was missing his other two sets, he supposed he couldn't blame Yuya for that-- he never did specify how many pairs he had. Gingerly picking the trinket up, he knew he'd cherish the trinket as much as possible. ]
I don't know what else to say other than... Thank you so very much. [ There was a slight shudder to his words. This was the first time he's gotten anything from anyone, simply due to kindness. ]
no subject
I'm glad you like it! I've um... Been doing crafts a lot recently so-
[He pauses for a moment, unsure of what else to say. Though he's happy still.]
no subject
[ He smiles at the trinket, putting it back onto the table to make sure it doesn't get damaged. ]
... You're missing about 4 wings, however. [ He's clearly teasing, given his smirk holds no malice in it. ]
no subject
[He scratches his head and looks at what he'd made with a puzzled look.]
Sorry, I didn't know. I- I'm sure I could make a few more, I just need um...
[He starts to count what he'd need on his hands. It seems he didn't get it was a joke.]
no subject
Relax. It was merely a joke. You couldn't have known I have 6 wings total.
no subject
[Why would anyone ever need six wings?]
Oh okay- that's... that's good...
[But more importantly...]
If you have six wings, can you fly super fast?
no subject
[ He ignores the part of him that screams at him that his wings weren't really his. He knew they were his now, it can very kindly fuck off. ]
If I ever get my wings back, I'll take you around Ryslig by air.
no subject
That would be awesome...! [Flying in general is awesome.] I have wings but they're too small to fly so...
no subject
I know. As soon as I get them, you'll be the first to know.
Front dated to after the au event (Action)
She's going there because he's his boss, and she's his employee. Sure, they've gotten close recently... with him teaching her how to fly, as well as...
No, the past week was... it was a false life... it wasn't real.
Samuel Alize isn't his name.
Alize-Boyle isn't her last name.
She has a father already... back home. Shuzo Hiiragi is her Dad, and nothing would ever change that... even if she wasn't biologically related to him, and only existed because of Ray.
So then... why does she feel her heart hurt so much as she stands outside of the door to the Cafe?
Why has she had to use her feathered arms to wipe away tears before she arrived here?
She bites her lower lip and... she opens the door. The bell on the door announces her arrival as soon as she opens it, and she steps inside.
...she tried to ignore the feeling of home in this Cafe. ]
no subject
The one that stung worst of all was forgetting his guiding light. Forgetting Lucifer felt like sacrilege. He didn't want to forget-- he never did, and it was torn from him in an instant. If he found whoever responsible he'd be sure to tear him to shreds. Rage, sadness, and isolation were a whirlwind in him, and in the silent café, all he can do is focus his energy in cleaning the coffee cups.
However, he was unsure of one thing. Yuzu.
He knew he took care of her in that mirage. She had become his daughter. But his name was not Samuel Alize. Her name was not Yuzu Alize-Boyle. He was Sandalphon, and she was Yuzu Hiiragi. The café had become their home, and as he looked out at the décor, he realized that the memories of playing house were still there. And they hurt. They hurt as if it were real and not a wool over his eyes in hopes of forgetting this accursed realm they called Ryslig existed. Deep down, he knew what he felt was something he would never be able to let go of.
He missed that peace. And he missed having another person to smile at. The memories had taken root in his core, and he's unsure if he even likes them being there. Despite that, Sandalphon knows that he'd never dare speak a word of this, electing to bury the experience as well as all the emotions deep within his core, never to look back at them.
That was the plan, until he saw the pink harpy enter. He's looking anywhere but her. ]
Yuzu... [ There was an obvious strain in his voice. Emotions were certainly a hassle. ] Is there something you need?
no subject
[ Her breath catches, and she suddenly freezes, stopping what she was about to say. He's not her dad... they aren't... they aren't parent and child...
But... those memories... the comfort she felt when Yuzu Alize-Boyle was scooped up off of the streets and taken care of...
Her heart feels like it's about to break. ]
S-Sandalphon... n-no, I just...
[ What does she say? What does she tell him? What happens now? ]
I-I just...
[ She tries to hold it in, she tries to keep her composure, but every time she tells herself that their relationship was false...
...she's crying before she realizes it, tears running down her cheeks. ]
E-Eh...
no subject
They were no longer boss and worker. It was something more, and it hurt him to even consider it anything else. He turns to look at the shrine he has in his café for Lucifer-- that unnamed friend in the mirage-- and begged him to give him some kind of sign. Some kind of sign that he was doing something right by just ignoring it, by believing that it could go back to what it was before. But he knew what Lucifer would tell him. He knew the moment he created him, when he gave him the capability to feel what he does at the moment.
He knows that the crew aboard the Grandcypher would do the same. He tears his eyes away from the shrine and steels himself, knowing that he had to be the first to act, the first to tell her that he was alright with what had transpired. He sets down the coffee cup he was cleaning, only to trade it with the hand grinder. It held enough for two cups of coffee, after all. ]
Sit down. Today's coffee is on the house.
no subject
[ She slowly walks over, taking a seat where her body unconsciously leads her to what had been her favorite spot in the Cafe when they were daughter and father... where the sun hits just right. She feels herself tremble as she realizes just where she sat.
It was all so much more familiar... it was already familiar from the time she spent working here.
But now those feelings were so much stronger, and it hurt so badly in her heart that she couldn't stop the tears from continuing to run down her face. ]
no subject
[ His words were followed up with with a shake of his head, soon leaning over to give her some tissues. He might as well stop fighting his emotions, knowing that leaving unspoken emotions was a very, very horrible idea.
He eventually pushes a coffee towards her. Exactly how she liked it. ]
Enjoy, my little fruit. [ He adds a knowing smile. ]
no subject
[ ‘Little Fruit’
She’d been so embarrassed by that nickname... only ever being fine with it whenever they were alone, but freaking out whenever he said it in the presence of others.
An embarrassing child nickname from when she was... was apparently 8 years old.
Her hands tremble uncontrollably as she reaches forward to hold the cup. The smell... she was never one before this to be particular about her coffee, but since then... her taste toward them had gone up considerably.
And this smell... she recognized it immediately. It was... her favorite blend that he’d made her every morning... ]
Ah... aah...
[ She puts it down, quickly trying to use a tissue to wipe away her tears... but it’s no use. They keep running, and the tears don’t stop.
She knows it was fake.
They were simply... cast into those rolls.
But her feelings... they were real. She doesn’t want to ignore them... she doesn’t want to lose them. ]
Da...
[ When she looks up at him, her tears unending (though she does make sure the coffee is safely away from them), she can barely finish saying the word before her voice cracks and she sobs. ]
no subject
A very awkward, stilted hug, but it was a hug nonetheless. ]
Cry. It does you no good to keep it all in.
[ Pot calling the kettle black, his harsher self said, but he elects to ignore him now. Sandalphon had a duty to fulfill for the moment, and that was taking care of Yuzu.
He wonders if Lucifer is proud of him at this moment. ]
no subject
Still, amongst her wails, her voice barely squeaks out... ]
Dad...
[ She still wasn't even sure if she should call him that, considering her family back home. She already has a dad, and her relationship with Sandalphon as a father was false...
But... she needed to say it at least once... even if her voice is too drowned out by her own sobs to hear it. ]
no subject
After a while, the slime pulled away. ]
Do you feel a little bit better after that?
no subject
Y-Yeah... thanks...
[ She's still dealing with all kinds of emotions right now, but letting it all out with a good cry made her feel a little better. ]
S-Sorry, I... I needed that...
[ Now that she's called him 'dad' one last time... she's honestly not sure what to call him now. ]
no subject
It's alright. [ He debates even continuing, but he does. ] ... I honestly hope you didn't mind that. It was the only thing I could do in the moment.
no subject
[ She takes a deep breath, trying to calm herself down. She can still feel her eyes watering...
She doesn't know what to do. She doesn't know how to feel. The feeling when she heard him call her his little fruit, just like before... that feeling of relief and happiness... ]
I-I guess... you know what we need to talk about, right...?
[ What happens now?
On one hand, the maelstrom of feelings within her chest when he called her by the nickname he used as her dad... they were real, and she didn't want to let go of them.
But equally so... she remembers her family back home, her real family... though it's not like Shuzo wasn't just 'cast' into being her father as well.
Still, she'd accepted that... she knew in her heart that Shuzo was her father, Ray be damned.
But not this happened, and she feels like her heart is going to split in two. ]
no subject
[ A family...
Sandalphon never had one. He was created by Lucifer, as a primal beast-- no primal beast was made in hopes of ever being part of a family. They were created to fill a purpose and that was that. No frills, no decorations, nothing. Just to be part of a system that governed the Sky Realm
But that was the thing. Sandalphon was a primal that was made without a purpose outside of being a spare. He was unsure if his role of a father in Yuzu's life back in the illusion was worth continuing.
Uncertainty of being a father in general was prevalent within him, completely unaware as to how it would change him, both fundamentally and towards others. He wasn't the primal beast that reigned over familial love. A lot of this confused him. He's unsure of many things, but that uncertainty hasn't stopped him from trying.
So with a deep breath, he asks. ]
If you no longer want to see me as your father, and go our separate ways from here, then I understand.
no subject
[ She bites her bottom lip, biting back the tears. Go their separate ways, huh...
Of course she doesn't want that. ]
The... the feelings I had... even if our lives there weren't real, I want to believe that those were...
U-Unless... you don't want that...
no subject
[ He felt weird, admitting the truth as easily as he did, but that was that, and he didn't plan on backtracking now. ]
I want them to be real, because there I finally understood what it was to actually have a family. Primals don't have that luxury, and I was always curious, but I never got a straight answer... until there, that is.
I don't want that ruined. But I asked, just so you knew you had a way out.
no subject
I'm glad... thank you...
[ She takes a deep breath, as well as a sip of her coffee to calm her nerves a bit. Huh, her taste in coffee carried over from her time over there... ]
The truth is... it really hurt to find out that it wasn't real... I still remember how I felt when you took me in.
[ She looks him in the eyes. Though she's calmed herself a bit with hearing that he wants it to be real as well... she can still feel her heart pounding in her chest, so her eyes still look almost pleading. ]
It just... it just hurt even more when I remembered my family back home because... I still love and care about them, but... our relationship is still real to me...! I don't want to choose between them, I...!
[ Maybe it's selfish of her. Greedy, even, to want to keep her familial bond both with her family back home and Sandalphon... but... ]
no subject
[ There's no use lying; the matter of the fact was, Sandalphon could never understand why family ran so deep within skydwellers, and even the other monsters here. All he knew was that it was usually blood that tied them together. ]
However, if you want my opinion? Why do you need to keep your family at home separate from our relationship here? I see no betrayal here, nor do I see you abandoning them for the sake of living guilt free. All that should matter is that you have a support system in place.
no subject
[ She'd... never thought of it like that. ]
I-I don't know, I...
[ No betrayal... she likes that, she wants that... ]
D-Do you mind if I... talk about myself and back home for a moment...?
[ ...the truth is that there is a reason why she thought that it had to be separate, that she had to choose. ]
no subject
[ He keeps working on his own cup, now starting the brewing process. ]
Maybe it'll enlighten me on how family works, in the first place...
no subject
Truth is, I... technically don't have a family. I only exist because a girl named Ray split herself into four different girls to save the world... and I'm just one of those girls. I thought I was related to my dad, but... no, he was just someone chosen to be my dad when I appeared as a baby... which explains why I don't really have an existing mom either.
[ She grips her cup a little tighter. ]
But... my dad, he... he still treated me like his daughter even after we found out about that. Even if we weren't really related, we... we were still family.
[ She sniffs a bit, rubbing a bit of tears away from her eyes. ]
I guess I just... felt that if I've already chosen one dad even if we aren't related, could I really choose another...?
[ She looks back up at him, her eyes watering again. ]
But... you're right, I shouldn't have to keep this separate...! If you choose who your family is, then... I want both you and everyone back home to...!
[ Crap... she's making herself emotional again, so she quickly wipes her face as tears start to fall again. ]
no subject
[ Sandalphon listened intently, and that was his answer. Yuzu was his daughter in anything but name, and if befriending any other family, if that was in their future, Sandy would do it. It was for the best. ]
For what it's worth, you having other family won't bother me. Your happiness is what matters, in the end.
no subject
[ Oh, the tears are coming back again and she can't stop them... ]
Then... can we still... can we still be...?
[ It wounds like less of a question and more of a plea. ]
no subject
[ Sandy was not a liar, after all. What he does do is pass her another tissue. ]
So do me a favor and stop crying. Unless those are happy tears, then in which case do continue.
[ He's both teasing and honest. ]
no subject
[ She continues crying, of course, since it's happy tears... tears with don't stop even as she tries to wipe away her tears with the tissue. She honestly just... felt like a weight had been lifted off of her shoulders.
Sandy was her other new dad... even if not by blood, but that was nothing new to her. ]
no subject
[ RIP, Yuzu Hiiragi. ]
In the other Ryslig, you were dating Yuya, were you not? Would I be wrong in assuming that relationship carried over here as well...? Or was it already happening?
[ Dadphon does not play. ]
no subject
Y-Yuya!? D-Dating!? U-Um...!
[ Crap, her face goes bright red. She hadn't even thought about that, but... they really were in a full relationship back there, weren't they? The thought causes happiness to bubble up inside her, but before that... the embarrassment that causes her face to turn bright red. ]
I-I mean, I'd love for it to carry over, but we haven't really talked about it yet...
[ Mostly because he had died. ]
no subject
Do take care of that, or I'm going to do it for you.
no subject
[ Oh god, the whiplash is hitting her hard. She's not mentally prepared to deal with this... and frankly, she never is in the first place. Her face may as well be as pink as her hair at this point. ]
no subject
You'll find out.
no subject
[ W-What does that mean!? Back in that alternate universe, he hadn't exactly been the most supportive of her relationship with Yuya because of his incredibly high standards... ohhhhh...
Her face is bright red, utterly flustered and unsure what to do. He wouldn't try and intimidate him out of dating her, would he!? ]
no subject
Finish that coffee, little fruit. Don't let it get cold.
