[ With that reply, Sandalphon knew it would be pointless to send a reply, so all he could do was wait for Yuya's arrival. Why the kid wanted to give him a gift, he was unsure. But even that uncertainty wasn't enough to rid himself of the happiness he felt from the thought of actually receiving a gift. Who knew that would be enough to put him into good spirits?

He had finished up yet another test batch of coffee for his upcoming café when Yuya knocked on the door. When he was greeted by the sight of an exhausted goblin, he let out a sigh. It can't be helped, it seems. ]

Yuya, come on in. [ He ushers the boy inside. ] Let me get you some water. You look exhausted.

[Yuya lets out a chuckle.]

Sorry I... guess it's a monster thing-

[He'd worry about that later, he was quick to take Sandalphon up on his offer of not only water, but shelter. But he does manage to place a small bag on the table before he sits to take a breather.]

That's unfortunate... I'd hate to feel so weak in the sunlight. [ It sounded cruel, however he meant it sincerely. He'd have a hard time adapting if he was made nocturnal.

He's quick to get Yuya some water as he took his seat, soon seeing the bag on the counter. He huffs, knowing what that meant. It seems that was the gift Yuya was hinting at. Somehow, he finds himself not fighting the small smile that was on his face. ]

Are you feeling better now?

[He takes a very long swig of water, and then lets out a breath of relief upon finishing.]

Y-yeah, thanks!

[He sounds more upbeat than he has in the past. But after saying thanks, he quickly opens the little bag.]

Um- s-so it was a little hard to make with... [He gestures to his own oversized claws.] B-but I tried my best!

[He pulls out something that looks akin to a charm, or something you could hang up somewhere. But it seems to be a very simple representation of Sandalphon, with a pair of angel wings on the figure.]

I remember you said you had wings, so I... I hope that's okay-

[ Sandalphon's smile was unbeatable now. Seeing Yuya in high spirits was better than the last time he saw him, which laid his worries to rest. What a good sign indeed.

He pays attention to what Yuya said about the gift, letting out a soft chuckle. ] Honestly, doing anything with your hands is more impressive than anything.

[ And then he laid eyes on the small charm. All sorts of emotions welled up in his chest. While it was missing his other two sets, he supposed he couldn't blame Yuya for that-- he never did specify how many pairs he had. Gingerly picking the trinket up, he knew he'd cherish the trinket as much as possible. ]

I don't know what else to say other than... Thank you so very much. [ There was a slight shudder to his words. This was the first time he's gotten anything from anyone, simply due to kindness. ]

[For one reason or another Yuya is almost surprised by Sandalphon's reaction, but it's brief and very quickly he shoots a smile back.]

I'm glad you like it! I've um... Been doing crafts a lot recently so-

[He pauses for a moment, unsure of what else to say. Though he's happy still.]

Crafts do help one relax. I'm happy you've found something to do.

[ He smiles at the trinket, putting it back onto the table to make sure it doesn't get damaged. ]

... You're missing about 4 wings, however. [ He's clearly teasing, given his smirk holds no malice in it. ]

O-oh

[He scratches his head and looks at what he'd made with a puzzled look.]

Sorry, I didn't know. I- I'm sure I could make a few more, I just need um...

[He starts to count what he'd need on his hands. It seems he didn't get it was a joke.]

[ Sandalphon chuckles, soon devolving into light laughter. ]

Relax. It was merely a joke. You couldn't have known I have 6 wings total.

Six wings...

[Why would anyone ever need six wings?]

Oh okay- that's... that's good...

[But more importantly...]

If you have six wings, can you fly super fast?

I can. It took some time getting used to, but yes, getting from place from place was easier with wings.

[ He ignores the part of him that screams at him that his wings weren't really his. He knew they were his now, it can very kindly fuck off. ]

If I ever get my wings back, I'll take you around Ryslig by air.

[He looks up, starry eyed at Sandalphon.]

That would be awesome...! [Flying in general is awesome.] I have wings but they're too small to fly so...

[ Sandalphon smiled. ]

I know. As soon as I get them, you'll be the first to know.
